In this work the juxtapose between the cold lifeless silicone and the multicoloured scalpel blades there is a playful and colorful analogy to Brazilian culture while highlighting these pressing issues.
Through its multidimensional aesthetic and vibrancy, the table reminds us to what extent this common practice appears so banale, while still 10% of cosmetic surgeries are completed in Brazil.
The government has even incentivised citizens by offering financial assistance to complete these services. Yet due to the fact that it is still surgery and a medical practice, there are still risks associated with it.
