Beautiful Max Ingrand lamp, 1954, for Fontana Arte, Italy, white satin glass, small brass seal in the vase, metal base, white lacquered, measures: height 50 cm, diameter 38 cm.

About the Designer

Max Ingrand was the famed French designer, glassworker, and decorator. Early in his career he focused on creating stained glass window designs, but later shifted and created some of the most detailed, challenging, and innovative lamp, chandelier, mirror, and table glass designs. He became the artistic director of the famed Italian lamp and glass furniture company Fontana Arte from 1954 until 1967; this is considered the peak of his furniture and light design career.
