Veneza Carioca illuminates the flooding and landslides concerns in Brazil. In favelas, houses are illegally built on unstable land-plots. As a result of this poor planning, people loose all of their possessions and it is a highly controversial issue in Brazilian society.

Waste mismanagement and unreliable infrastructure cause these floodings which in turn affects the transportation system leading to much frustration and chaos.
