Ezio Casagrande, Umbrella Holder, Copper, 1960’s

€4,280.00

Handmade copper tree stump umbrella stand, produced by Ezio Casagrande in Borgo Valsugana Italy in the 1960s. This piece is in very good condition with a beautiful natural patina. Embossed mark on the bottom. This is really a unique eye-catcher and a tall one with a height of 63 cm and a diameter of approx. 37 cm. This would also be a nice addition to a Lalanne decorated interior and would dialogue very well with Jourdan’s faux wood series of vases from Vallauris.

About the Designer

Ezio's father Egidio, famous in the 1950s, has made the metalwork for major film productions such as 'Ben Hur', 'the Fall of the Roman Empire' and ‘The Ten Commandments'. He taught his son, Ezio, this fine decorative art.

Period

1960-1969
