A nice set of four tree log vases by Joseph Talbot from La Borne, France.

A center of ceramic creation in France since the 12th century, La Borne is renowned for its production of stoneware pottery.
The village enjoys a privileged location in the middle of the forest and on a large sandstone vein, essential elements for cooking with wood and access to raw materials. The traditional production consists of utility pieces in sandstone which meet the needs of rural life and production. Added to this is a popular imagery creation sought after by collectors.

About the Designer

Names that have become famous such as Talbot, Bedu, Bernon, Foucher, Avonts illustrate the activity of the potters' families of La Borne.
At the end of the 19th century, the village had about 700 inhabitants and 80 potters
